🔇Mute Settings
Here you'll find all the types of different things you can change about how NoPing works with Mutes
1. Mute Length
When a user hits the warn threshold they will be temporarily muted. The default length of this mute is 10 Minutes. But this change be changed using the /mutelength [length]
command.
2. Warn Length
This is the amount of time before user warns will be automatically deleted. The default length of time for this value is 1 hour. But you may change this value using the /warnlength [length]
command.
3. Mute Type
NoPing offers 3 different mute types. Static, Adaptive, and Absolute. Each one changing what happens when I member is muted.
A. Static (Default)
The static mute type is the simplest one and offers the most stability. No matter how many times a member is mute the mute length will always be the length you set. Meaning if your mute time is set to 5 minutes, the mute will always been 5 minutes.
B. Adaptive
The adaptive mute type is helpful for servers who don't like to punish members to harshly for their first infraction. The first mute a member gets will always been the mute length. But afterwards the mute length will start increasing depending on your Mute Increase Rate and how many mutes the member has in total.
This command can spiral out of control quickly, especially if you set your increase rate to high or you beginning mute time is too high. We recommend that if you use this mute type to test the mute lengths for the first 5 mutes using an alt account.
C. Auto-Mod
This is a premium only Mute Type
The absolute mute type takes advantage of Discord auto moderation. The other mute types don't actually stop the mention. It simply acts as a discouragement for pinging NoTag Users. But with this super cool and amazing mute type the mention is completely stopped from being sent using Discords auto moderation. Meaning, you won't even get the notification.
This mute type using a auto moderation slot. Please make you have one before attempting to using this Mute Type (You can only have a maximum of 6 custom automod rules)
4. Mute Increase Rate
This command is used to change the mute increase rate. This is the number that is used to determine how fast the mute time will increase when using the adaptive mute type. Lower numbers are recommended unless you want the time to increase very quickly.
