Getting Started (Setup)

This page will get the bot to a point where it is functioning use the default settings provided when you first invite the bot.

You can use the /config command to view your current guild settings

1. The NoTag Role

The NoTag role is what tells the bot which members should not be pinged. Any member that pings a user with this role will be warned or muted.

Setting the NoTag role

To set the NoTag role, please use the command /notagrole set [role]. This will set the provided role to your guilds NoTag role. Alternatively, you may also do /notagrole create to have the bot create and set its own NoTag role.

2. Checking bot Permissions

After setting the NoTag role, the next step is to check if the bot has all the correct permissions. You can quickly and easily achieve this by running the /check (default member role) command. The one argument this command takes is your guild default member role, usually the role members get when they first join.

3. Diagnosing Problems

After setting the bot up following the instructions above, if the bot still doesn't work the next step would be to use the /diagnose [message ID || message link] command. The message you provide must contain a mention that pings a NoTag User. The bot will then automatically figure out why the member was able to ping the NoTag User.

A NoTag User is a member that has the NoTag Role
